Client/Designer snapshot/upload problems.

Hi,

Shouldn't be impossible for a snapshot to fail to upload in Client, when created in Designer, which worked perfectly? Anyone experienced this before?

It seems to get stuck on write permissions.

Is there any way to pre-test the snapshot from designer to client even?

I've compacted the database (thanks for the tip, forum), checked the passwords, including over the phone with my newly purchased Cover but nothing. I've now been told that I can expect a response sometime tomorrow. Extremely embarrassing doing all this at the my customer's office. My client's advice was tell Actinic you're about to lose a client plus returned costs - thanks Actinic.

That was yesterday and no word back from Actinic nearly 24 hours later - help!

snapshots can fail so I always take a working site on a laptop when visiting clients so I can create a new one if needed.

Thanks for the tip Mal. Is there anyway to test the transfer before reaching the client's place though? I'm I missing something obvious here?

Email the snapshot to them and talk them through an import and test - that will give you a fighting chance if anything is wrong
