Session files - is digest persistent between sessions?

Hi there, hope someone knows something about this...

I'm making an order save / retrieval system for actinic that reads / writes to the users session; To do this, I need to know whether the Digest hash code is persistent between sessions..

Anyone know?

Do you mean the Digest of the logged in customers? That's constant as long as the user details are not changed.

hmm.. Any unique identifiers?

Hmm.. I was hoping that it was a UID - guess that won't help; is there a UID I can grab hold of anywhere?
I notice that in the ACTINIC_BUSINESS cookie theres an ACCOUNT tag... I need a variable that stays stuck to either a user or an account permenantly (i.e, won't change even if a user requests that we change their login details / personal / business information)
Any idea where I can find one?
