Email: Could not find file specified

After completing an order, i went to send the email, but i get a "The system could not find the file specified" error, and the mail does not send.

I can see the mail it wants to send, commplete with the customer details, but its not letting me send. I've not played with the smtp settings etc. The only thing i can think of is that its quite an old order (over a month - not usual btw) Could this have any thing to do with it

ok, think its fixed, but it got worse before it got better!

Nothing network wise would work, no ftp connections etc. The machine was working fine - only actinic having problems. Tried an import to a working time, still nothing.

Eventually had to do a system restore and that seems to have done it.

      not that anyone cares!

        That's a bit harsh!
You posted just before the weekend, so many regular posters may be offline.

You seem to have solved the problem yourself, so didn't really need forum help.

If you continue to post with this attitude you will alienate the forum members who can help you and you will get no responses to your queries.

Remember, this is a forum - not customer support!

          Hi,

Even though you have sorted it, in case it happens to anyone again in the future, this error is sometimes caused by working offline (check outlook and IE settings under the 'File' menu).

@ brian, sorry brian, didn't quite mean it like that. I probably should have followed it with a ;-). Don't want to alienate people - its bloody good having the expertise available. I was just surprised that no one had had the problem or had any ideas. It wasn't in the forums when i searched for it.

@ tracey, thanks i didn't think of that, but in retrospect i think thats probably what it was!
