Hide section in product index page

    Hi All,

I wish to hide certain sections / products from the product catalogue index page
http://www.sto-it.ie/acatalog/index.html . I am using the prime theme in v9.

I have hidden both sections and brochure pages from the sidebar as described in the AUG. But these hidden sections show in the product page. Any ideas how to achieve this?

    Regards

    Jim

Have a good read of the block if tutorials in the layout forum written by Gabe, they should give you all the info you need.

        Hi,

The format I used from the AUG uses “block if” and a new variable and is easy to implement i.e. step by step for the novice! I was hoping to find something similar to hide certain products from the products page. I do not feel confident enough to make up my own block if’s and variables from scratch.

Below are the Section Titles from the AUG
How to Only Show Certain Sections in the Top Level Section List
This will show you how to manually select which sections will appear in the 'top level section list' that is in the sidebar of most of the Actinic designs. On Page 51.
Stopping Specific Brochure Pages from Appearing in the List
This will show you how to specify which brochure pages will appear in the list of brochure pages that appears in your store design. Page 52.

        Regards

I think Gabe's tutorials are pretty step by step, if you find them a little daunting, you may be best to contact a professional and then investigate what they did for you. The forum can only offer so much help, after all it's a help service, not a design service. If you snapshot before you try anything, you have absolutely nothing to worry about, get stuck in, it will be far easier than you think. Don't forget the inbuilt help too, that is very helpful on items like this.
