adding images to drop down options in the online catalogue

    hi,

is it possible to add different images to each drop down section for a product?

I mean, for example on this page:

    http://www.hogarthlighting.com/acata...turelight.html

can you add in Actinic an image that displays next to 'painting size' and 'power supply' etc.

I am working on a site with a product that has a lot of options and I want to show some small images next to each option.

    cheers,
    Toby

I think Norman at Drillpine has an add-on that does this. It's not a functionality available within Actinic itself.
    Try drillpine.biz
I think it's called Dynamic choice images or something similar.

Assuming that's what you mean, of course

Yep Norm is your man and also convert to show by radio button as all options on show then too.

thanksfor your help - have spoken to Norman. He was very helpful.

Unfortunately its not the sort of thing im trying to do.

I have many drop downs for a custom picture light:
you can have it any size, any length, thickness etc. 3 inches up to 200 inches. So the drop downs are massive. I wanted to include little thumbnails by the drop downs to serve as graphics to better illustrate the choices. The thumbnails are not products.

Norman mentioned searching for 'Attribute Image' in the forum and that it was only a case of tweaking Actinic.

        any ideas?

you only want one image per dropdown? not per choice?
If that's the case then create a custom variable for your image, set it at 'attribute' level and code it in, using the design tab, whereever you need it to show.

            that sounds perfect.

Now how do I do that?

I have located the design- library- variables tab.

this may be too advanced for me.

The inbuilt help should give details of how to create your own custom variables and add them into the design tab.
Have a read up and give it a go (just remember to snapshot first )

I suggested you tried searching. Try http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=26007 where post #6 is pretty close to what you need.
