    V9 Import Hierarchical File Problem

    I have just tried to import a hierarchical file into v9.0.0 and after starting slowly it froze and never recovered. eek:

    To see if it was the Hierarchical file, I imported into v8.5 and it worked perfectly and with no errors.

    Has anyone had this problem ?

    I don't mind importing into v8 then exporting out to import into v9, but after a while it could be a real pain - especially if I change the catalogue in v9.

    I haven't seen this myself. Really we would need to test your hierarchical file to check it. I suggest you work with support to do this. You can register a support query at http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm

      I've just seen this too.

      I've a hierarchical file that imports OK into 8.5.1 and 8.5.2 but imports a lot slower into v9.00 (and 9.01 beta) and eventually the V9 import freezes with Task Manager showing that Catalog.exe is using 0% CPU. There's no way out except ending the task via Task Manager.

      The file is quite large - around 450 Sections, 5,000 products (each with 2 Attributes and assorted Choices) in a 5.5Mb, 34,000 line import file.

            I sent a site and import file that I can reliably crash to Kiran yesterday.
