Record(s) cannot be read; no read permission on 'Setup'??

I had a problem with my site today & restored back to a previous backup but I now can't open Actinic at all.

I'm getting this error message:

"There was a problem with the database
Operation: Opening the table
Record(s) cannot be read; no read permission on 'Setup'."

I'm really worried that I've totally messed it up! Should I re-install V8 software then copy over actinic.mbd file or is it the mbd file that's corrupt?

The best way to backup sites is to use a snapshot - do you have one that you can import?

The last snapshot was from about a week ago. I will import as a last resort but I was hoping I could salvage data from the ActinicCatalog.mdb or one of the automatic backups.

Problem is I can't even open Actinic at all at the moment..Do you think the database has corrupted?

Use another PC and import the snapshot to see if it has the same problem - if its ok then you can remove and reinstal actinic from your main pc

Thanks for your help. The database was completely corrupted (couldn't run it on other PC or open it in Access). The Backup file had been overwritten with the corrupted file so in the end I had to import the week old snapshot & manually re-enter all the orders/ changes on the site... YAWN!

And yes, I will do snapshots more frequently in the future.
