Product Design locked

Strange problem, I have always been able to edit the inner layout of a product until today. I can still edit the inner layout for sections but not for products, I have tried closing the program and restarting the computer and also switching between sites but the problem still remains on both sites.

Has anybody else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Thanks Tracey, I'm working nights tonight so cannot try this but I'm sure it will work. I have recently inserted some script and now I have the problem. I'll try it first thing in the morning.
