As you say Lee it would have been eaiser and quicker to just answer your question than the time it's taken to debate you looking it up in the help file so on that basis i would suggest you go to business settings and select the ordering tab and then simply tick the box for the option "Send Receipt Email to Customer" and i think you'll find that does the job.

I have known that the whole time as I saw that on another thread, but my client has had that box ticked since starting their shop and it doesn't work.

That's why I thought there was some other way to do it.

if it's not working i would suggest you run a network setup test as i would think there is a poroblem with the Email Settings.

Simply go to Web > Network Setup and run the test and see if it passes and if it doesn't change the email settings.

no worries, i had an issue with Emails from Actinic and it was my SMTP settings i had to simply change it from smtp.domain.com to localhost (as the SMTP Server) to get mine working after our hosts moved us to new hardware.
