    Awkward VAT rounding issue

I have come across an awkward VAT rounding issue.

    http://www.shop.burns-pet-nutrition...._For_Dogs.html

We have a product 'chicken & Brown Rice' which is spilt into a couple of chioces on bag size, 15kg, 7.5kg and 2kg which is all fine.

however, we have an offer on which means you can buy a 15kg bag with 6 cans of moist food and this is where the VAT rounding thing messes up.

Because you cannot actually buy a single can of moist food there is no individual price for it. So I have to make an item of '15kg + 6 cans' as a choice.

This should be Net £39.86 which gives £46.84 when it should be £46.83

Because the Sales order when produced is made up of individual products:
    1 x 15kg Chicken & brown rice
    6 x 410g Moist food

It gives the correct amount of £46.83 because it is calculated line by line.

Does anyone know a way that I can do something similar within Actinic?

Otherwise I am forced to give this a price of Net £39.85 which gives the customer 1p off but means the Sales Staff need to adjust the Sales Order/invoice to suit.

    thanks

    Mike
Boy, this is a big learning curve.....and YES I've got my crampons on!

All VAT problems have been sorted out in V9, upgrade is your easiest option IMO.

Check your VAT settings. If they're set to 'round line scientific' then change it to 'round item scientific'. That way it will round per item rather than per line (I'm not sure what it does with components though).

As Lee says, in V9 you can set the prices to be VAT inclusive so the problem won't appear anymore.
