    Quick method for changing design?

Ive designed a website, basically its just an empty shell at the moment as ill add the links to the sections once I have it sitting in actinic and have finalised the sections.

What my main question is, is there a quick way to add the 'whole' page and then put the INNERLAYOUT in the center section? Rather than having to add the side panels to the side panel sections?

E.g. Am I able to simple go onto a blank site and change the layout code and copy the site into that and ignore the sections actinic makes?

If you have Dreamweaver the Actinic interface makes registering the design a cinch.

If you do not have DW you can still move it into Actinic albeit with some manual work... with Actinic open at the outer layout you need to copy into your design all the Actinic layout code .... these are the purple layouts such as InnerLayout etc... copy all these into their respective places in your design. You also need to copy the <head> content and the <body onload> across.

When pasted into your layout the Actinic code will expand and spoil the layout so ensure you layout is 100% correct before starting.

Once Actinic layouts have been transferred copy the entire HTML into an unsued outer layout that will never be used by any sane web owner (works best with stripe is my theme of choice).. once copied you can then set that theme to be used in the store under the design tab | themes option.

The Actinic layout adding the side bar content, simple search etc may need editing as they could kill your new design once the content is added but this can be edited manually under the design tab.

This is obviously a precis of the procedure and not a step-by-step guide to integration but should take no more than 10 mins to get your design into Actinic in a usable manner.
