Constantly crashing with vista 64 ultimate

hi

i have just upgraded my machine and decided to go for vista ultimate 64bit.
i have the latest version of actinic 8
just started using it and it will freeze up on me quite a lot (4-5 times a day)
anyone know what might be the cause of this and would updating to version 9 help solve the problem?

Hi - I have been using the same operating system (with Service Pack 1) for the last 2/3 weeks without any problems.

I have got it on a fast machine though - Intel quad core CPU and 4GB memory.

We are also using Vista Ultimate (but in 32 bit mode) with V8 of Actinic and are having snapshot backup issues i.e. errors occur which stops the snapshot being taken. We were advised by Actinic to update to 8.5.3 move the sites directory from program files and put it under the "My Documents" directory on Vista and change some of the registry settings - Done all of this but sorry to say it has not sorted out the issue.

Seems like actinic has some issues with Vista Ultimate – Ho Hum.
