Create Customer Accounts

Is it possible for Customers to create their own customer accounts?

No - Actinic is a static website

You can create an product called 'create an account' with a price of zero and they can 'buy' that, there are examples of how to do this in the Actinic document and on this forum. In Actinic you can then use the create account button to generate the account. There is no build in online way to do it though and no instant way to do it that I know of.
