Variable scope

Hi,

I have created a variable. I have placed it into the page properties and it dictates whether or not an image is shown below the left hand navigation.

When customising my checkout pages the variable is not showing (and hence the image is missing) How do I extend the scope of this variable?

I have checked the rendered html and it is definitely not there.

Reverse engineer it, have it in the sidebar of the site template, UNLESS you specify not to.

I have made a change that puts the image in regardless and only omits it if the variable is set to "no".

Still no joy. I have actually placed the variable in the checkout screen and it is blank even though it has a defualt value.

Any ideas??

Ok solved...

Stupid me, I didn't add a "top level value", I thought initial value would do.
