I have a component with an attribute which has 8 radio button choices. Can the spacing between the radio buttons be affected. I need more spacing between then to match up to lines of text.

Couple of options - the "easiest" is to edit "Radio Button Choice List" layout.. click on the orange link and add some cellpadding to the table layout.
Getting them to align perfectly with text in all browsers is going to drive you to insanity - don't strive for pixel perfect alignment. -
