Actinic Site - Error..

=s, i just replied to this thread but my post has gone oO...

I've tried all those links,

1) Reinstalling
2) Upgrading - Can't upgrade to v9 because my v8 key wont work on it.
3) Renaming site folder

Don't know what else to do to get actinic to load

Which site was last opened before you got this error? Can you see this site folder in your 'Sites' folder and if so, is there an ActinicCatalog.mdb file there?

You could try opening the software on one of your other sites by going to 'Start | Run' and enter the following:

"C:\Program Files\Actinic v8\Catalog.exe" -s "Site1"

(replace 'Site1' with the relevant site name (it is case sensitive)).


The search is working but the minimum word length is set to 4 characters therefore it is not accepting the 'to', 'the' and 'for' in the above phrase. I'm checking if we can reduce that length and what impact that will have on searching (trust Chris D to take this week as holiday ).
