    Permutation quantities in cart

    Hi,

I have a product with a price and two options (each with their own prices)

The idea is that they either buy the default or choose full package.

If the user selects one of the options then when the user goes to the cart or they are checking out then I get two rows as follows:

    1. Main product description and quantity (quantity in text input)
    2. Sub row with option description and quantity as plain text

The calculations are correct in terms of quantities. I have tried adding a variable to the permutations section to surpress this line but am unable to get it to work.

Can anyone out there think of a better solution?

    Thanks,
    Ben

      Thanks for the link David....

I am using V9 and I dont seem to be able to get that solution to work. Do you think it may be something to do with the fact that I am using the frial trial hosting space?

I now have this working. The trial hosting does not allow the the .pm script to be altered but testing on my local server it works fine.

          Need help with this please

          Hi,
I have this problem too, of the two rows showing in the cart.

          Was it
adding a variable to the permutations section to surpress this line
that did the trick, and if so, would it be possible to get a 'Dummies guide' to doing this?

I have v9.01 Catalog and can't open the .pm file to edit it

Any help would be much appreciated!
          thanks
          Mary

            Hi,

would it be possible to get a 'Dummies guide' to doing this?
This knowledge base article should help (same instructions as community link that Dave posted).

I have v9.01 Catalog and can't open the .pm file to edit it
You can open it with notepad (right-click on the file and select 'Open with').
