    Left hand menu not working

Does anyone have a clue what went wrong with my upgrade?

I upgraded from V8 to V9, and tested the result on the test mode facility on the server. Everything looked good. But when I refreshed the site for real in production more, the left hand menu where all the store sections reside, no longer works. If you click any of the store section links, it results in a page not found error like this :

The requested URL /cgi-bin/ss900002.pl was not found on this server.

I've been told that ss9000002.pl is only used for test mode, so how come it has ended up on my production web site.

    Here is the URL.

Try changing the CGI script number Web | Network set up ... change it to "3" for example and then purge and refresh the website

This menu is most likely being generated/made on the site by the contents of a Javascript file i.e.

      Act_Section_tree.js

It is in this file that the incorrect ....ss900002.pl are located.

Perhaps Actinic has made a local version of this file at the site1 level with the test mode ss900002.pl in it and this has not been overwritten when changing to production mode.

Locate this file in your site1 folder, if there, and simply delete it. Actinic will recreate this file afresh with your NON test mode settings i.e. correcting the problem.

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried it - I changed the number to 3, purged and refreshed, but the side menu remains stuck as it was. The photos in the main body of the site provide the same navigation and they continue to work, but the side menu is as it was.

I have no idea what is wrong with it.

          Did you try deleting

          Act_Section_tree.js

          as per my post?

Thanks a lot - I think you were both right. The .js file needed to be remade one way or another.

Jont - I didn't refresh my browser and so at first it looked like your suggestion had not worked, but it did! Thanks hugely!!

I've only been using Actinic for 3 hours so I am new. I spent those 3 hours on the support phone today and here I got the answer in minutes.
