    Username not unique?

    Have just installed v9.0.2 Business Plus, tried to license a new site and i'm asked for a Username & Password.

    I can't ever remember having a Username or Password to function with Actinic, so I thought it may mean "set one up".

    I chose a Username & Password, but whatever Username I choose, I get the following message;

    "The username you specified is not unique. Please specify a new username."

    Now what have I missed?

    have you tried the default username ie Administrator

      With what password, any ideas?

      I tried;
      Username: Administrator
      Password: Administrator

        is the default.

          Solution:

          Uninstall v9 then Re-install v9

          Then as Jo rightly said 'Administrator' is the default Username & Password.

            I have just had the same problem with V10, unfortunately the steps above did not work.

            For others this is how I solved it.

            I loaded up the default Actinic site after installaition.

            Go to File and logout

            Close Actinic and reopen

            Enter the Administrator details mentioned above.

            Now it would let me license a new site.

            Hope this saves someone the hour I spent trying to resolve.
