    9.02 import order bug

Just upgraded to 9.02 this morning.

Due to issues with sync server we have 1 pc doing web design and a seperate one processing the order. Each day we just import the orders into the design pc to generate the best sellers etc.

Both pc's have been upgraded to 9.02

When I have just tried to do this today we get this error

'OrderDetail_OrderDetail_OrderDetail_OrderDetail_OrderSequenceNumber' is not a valid file name. Make sure that it does not incluse invalid characters or punctuations and that it is not to long

actinic then crashed and you have to end task it in task manager

Is anyone else getting this problem or do we have a corrupted order or something

Just did a quick test by creating 2 new sites then deleating all orders in site 2 and importing orders from site 1 and all worked fine. So not sure if this is a bug or I have got a corrupted order in there somewhere

    Hi,

    'OrderDetail_OrderDetail_OrderDetail_OrderDetail_OrderSequenceNumber'
This is very odd. Do you get the same error if you import the orders from this database into one of your new sites? This might help narrow down if the problem is from the orders database or the design pc database.

yes if i licence a new site then import the orders from the packing pc I still get the same error

After speaking to Dean in support last night I imported the site data from the desgin pc into the packing pc then I did a compact of the database. I then did a backup which was succesful.

I then tried to import the orders onto the design pc after I downloaded todays order but I still get the same error.

I am send a snapshop + actinic database after order down to dean via ftp (over 223mb) so I will see what he comes back with.

I have tried importing orders from both the design and packing pc into a new blank site but I get the same error so either it's a bug or both database's are now corrupt.

I am reloading an backup done before 9.02 upgrade and will try imprting order from that into a blank new site and see if that works. Very strange this one as we can still do snapshots and process orders ok.

The only thing I can think of is I have a corrupt order in there somewhere.

One thing it did notice the packing pc's database was double the usual size when we imported the orders, since compacting it has returned to normal so that may have been a contributing factor.

          update

licensed a new site on the design pc then imported the snapshot done before 9.02 update into a blank new site and I still get the same error ?

But why i try to import the demo site order into the demo site with orders deleated it imports ok

          this one is getting stranger

              Import Order Error

I also had this error but it was a long time ago and I can't remember how it ended up being resolved, it only happened the once, I now do the update weekly without problem.

Sorry I can't be more helpful in remembering!

I am also getting that error as of this week when importing orders into Business 9.02 to enable me to upload best sellers and also bought lists. Can't really be bothered contacting support because the pain is likely to exceed the gain so I just achieve the same by exporting a support snap shot from the sales PC and import that into the maintenance PC. However, if there is a quick fix then great.

                Thanks

                  Morning,

I am getting this exact same issue. Have recently upgraded 9.03 to 9.04 and all seemed okay (Business Multi-User)

I have redesgined a site and I'm ready to go live but I just can't get the old order data in to the new site, I keep getting the same crash. Does anyone know how they resolved it?

                  Thanks

                    Hi Lucy,

The item in error seems to be an index name, so perhaps you could resolve it by renaming the index in the old database before you import the orders - you would need to do this using access and the table with the index would be the one with the name that is repeated at the start of the name.

This is just a guess - I haven't had this issue myself.

                      Hi Jan,

Thanks for your response - I have had a look at doing this but I am slightly unsure as to quite how to go about it. I have opened Access but I don't know which table to change - could you give me any pointers?

                      regards

                      Lucy

I have this problem in 9.0.5 (and did in 9.0.4 too)

am about to launch an investigation into Access and will report back.
Failing that, I'll log a support ticket and report back (eventually!)

well, had a brief look at the before and after and can't see, in Access, what the problem is supposed to be.
Suppose I'll have to log it with support.
Am attaching a screenshot of the error, in case anyone else has seen it and knows the solution?

                            ok..quick update
Orders appear to have imported ok, however, they are missing their payments.
All orders in completed (as they should be) but, on opening and closing, they are moving to PSP pending as none of them seem to have a payment imported.

Not sure if that's relevent but I may be able to generate the marketing lists anyway, based on the info it DID import.

I am getting this error too and the only way i did it temporarily was to snapshot it, is there no answer from support on this yet?
