Shop in Shop

Not sure if this is possible, but can actinic be customized to allow a "shop in shop" seller facility, where sellers can set up their own shop store, within a single primary website.

I have seen Actinic sites do it but it is very clunky and requires a lot of maintenance work by the site owner.
