ordering a non-product... read on pls

    Hello,

My client wants to allow his customers to buy a catalog of his products. The site sell clothes but I need to find a way to allow customers to add said catalog to their cart.

Since this is not a regular product, it don't appear on product pages. It can only be ordered from special page.

    Programmatically, what would that imply?

If it is to be bought, then why can it not be a normal product? Books can just as easily be sold using actinic as anything else. Create a section and put a product within it and link to that section wherever you feel a customer might want to see a link or will find it useful. What is the complication? Even if it is a DD you can adopt the same approach.

I may be a bit dim but if you are selling a catalogue then its a product and can be sold in exactly the same way as a shirt

Could tomatoes or semolina also be sold this way?

I'm watching the Sound of Music, whilst eating a crisp sandwich, so my third brain cell needed something to do. However, Travis has just spotted my sandwich, so i think it will be all tied up now fighting off the little sod.

I've just built up a trampoline for the kids so they are caged in there for the rest of the school holidays. Sound of music would have been a better option!

You've obviously got better weather than we have. Hasn't stopped with the wind rain for two days now.

can't see why this can't be a product in its own right, after all you want people to buy it?

Stick it in its own section if you don't want it listed in with the clothes

or add block statements around the menu item to have it as a section not linked too

Its fantastic up here - wall to wall blue sky and very hot. Just off out for a blast round the lakes with the roof off

kids still bouncing in the garden here. Makes a change for us northerners to have good weather while you southerners drown!
