Permutation getting values from associated product permutations...

Hi,

Sorry if this has been covered, i have looked.

I want to be able to have a permutation on a product that selects another product.

E.G

Someone buys a surfboard they MUST buy a board bag..

I can get the products to list as permutations and with their prices - adding them correctly at the cart.

but one of the boardbags has permutations of its own (depending on size it is a different price)

Is it possible to show this in the surfboards permutations???

Like

Boardbag
>9'0 Boardbag 1 (£10)
>9'4 Boardbag 1 (£15)
>10' Boardbag 1 (£20)
>9'0 Boardbag 2 (£10)
>10' Boardbag 3 (£40)

Obviously this could be done by overwriting the price, but we do special offers on boardbags all the time and this will prove annoying coming in and editing permutations constantly

You'd have to manually create a choice for each of the size options (appending size to the name) and then attach that to the product the permutations feed on the other product. You can't have nested permutations unless you do them manually.

I think ive got that.

So do i still have to use the "Overwrite" price option?

If it is set to get its price from an actual product, then no, otherwise yes.
