I'm putting together an electronic components site with nearly 3k stock items, many of which are variants on a theme. For instance part ABC comes in 8 'flavours' each has it's own product code which customers need to search the site by as they are industry standard. (i.e ABC01, ABC02, ABC03 etc). Each part has multiple discounts associated and I have created product groups and discounts to cope with this.
I want to display ABC and it's description, image etc and the variations as the choices displayed as radio buttons.
At a later date I'm looking at linking Actinic via exteranl links to their stock control, internal sop system for cross checking.
Is it possible to have attributes with item codes and individual prices/product groups/discounts?
I have seen sites that use grids for colour and size choices that maybe suitable but this would require a site re-design so not really practicle at the moment. What needs to happen is that the product and attribute selected muct show the individual product code on the order, not just the product and attribute.
