    Highlight field on Packing Note

    We often have a problem with picking orders when typically customers order 1 of this , 1 of that etc. Occassionally people get on auto pilot and pick 1 of "x" when the customer has ordered 2 or 3 of that line item.

    We would like to highlight any quantity greater than "1" so that it helps our pickers.

    Also we are looking at new shipping methods and would like to highlight certain non-default shipping methods..

    Is there a simple (more simple the better) way to do this?
    I have looked for ages on the forum and not found this raised previously.

      We have done this with our report - one of our sites only has 4 products (our integrated label paper site) so we use a different colour for each product to make it really easy to see what to pack. We saw a big drop in packing errors after doing this. (I edited the report using crystal reports 8.5 to do this).

        It's also possible to highlight or change the colour of the shipping method if it's a next day service or similar so that's also not missed during packing.

          That's a great idea as I've fallen into the 'assume everything is 1' trap myself now and then.

          I produce my pick list in excel so can't help here, but this is definitely something I'll go and add to my spreadsheet.

            Do I take it I need Crstal Reports as a starter and then do some editing, or is there a way to tweak the output when certain conditions exist.?

              The only way to edit the Actinic reports is by using Crystal Reports v8.5. You can't 'tweak the output' of the report unfortunately.

              We offer report modifcations as a paid for service, if you want to consider that route then you can contact me via my forum signature.
