An FTP error occurred. Error: The operation timed out

Please help. I get this message when I am updating my website when it gets to 'sending catalog files'
It used to work fine a few days ago.

This could either be your ISP, your host or folder permissions, but first do a network test in Actinic and see what error code is retuned.

This is typically due to a slow ISP connection or a busy server. Clicking retry will usually continue the upload without issue or you can try at a later time. Usually nothing much you can do you end if you have not changed anything on your computer and it was working fine before.

I have run the test and I got this error message 'An error occured while checking the FTP transfer mode -- The connection with the server was reset
Try using the other mode.''

network settings, untick use enhanced FTP and try again

have you. Necked your firwall is not blocking actinic. If nothing has changed as yiou say then the problem is outside of your pc. Time is the next option or call your ISP and host to see if they have a problem. This is a very common error with lots of info already on the forum.
