Some variables not appears in properties.

Hi. I created some new variables and add them in the properties zone. (need à fitter, free delivery etc). It works well for all products except 3 products : for these products 2 others variables appears (Popheight and Popwidth) but not the one I cretaed. These 3 products are into a section on which there are 4 products : 1 works well ,and 3 doesn't work.
    Cannot understand ?
    Thanks

I have seen this before and could only resolve by deleting the products and adding afresh. I have also seen it where this would not resolve and even support could not fix - an upgrade to v9 sorted but that is no way forward.

      Hi,

I'm not sure if this will work but it may be worth a try (take a backup first). Edit the variable in 'Design | Library | Variables) and untick the place of setting (ie 'product') and click 'OK'. Then go back into the variable and re-tick the place of setting and click 'OK' and see if that brings the options back to your products. Note that doing this will reset any changes you've made to products for this variable back to the defaults so you will have to apply any changes again. If it doesn't work then re-import your backup.

Tracey - do you not have to also remove in-use variables from layouts first to allow the changeover or is that only for changing the place to a different one?

No, you would only need to do that if you are completely deleting the variable so that it doesn't exist anymore. We just want to remove the place of setting and then restore it here.

Hi. Sorry but it doesn't work. it just resets all the values to the default after ticking the place of product again.
So I suppose that the only solution is the delete and create the product again ?

                I'm afraid so.
