    'Record is Deleted'

A client of mine is having major headaches with v8.5.2 Having reinstalled the program to eliminate a possible corruption, the client accidentally overwrote her orders doing a snapshot install. After importing the old orders from the backed up db, she is now unable to print invoices, packing lists etc. New orders can be downloaded fine from the site and all appear in the orders panel.

When they start actinic, it says: 'Record is Deleted'. They click ok and it starts. When they come to print anything, the same message pops up and that's it. Anyone had a similar issue ? Better still, does anyone know how to fix it ?

did you know that importing orders takes at least 3 tables?

    order orderline and people

the other problem is, of course that actinic uses an incrementing number, 'order sequence number' to bind the order and orderline table.

you'll need specialist tools to move orders around. does anyone know of any

how did you import the orders pixel?

After printing out (or exporting) the old orders it might be best to redo the installation and then import the last working snapshot prior to the ovrerwriting.

in theory importing an older db - using the import order feature should work, i've done it several times.

i'd redo the whole operation, import the snapshot without the orders - compact and repair the db, check this is ok.

Then redo the import orders feature.

if it doesn't then it may be a case for actinic support as they seem to be able to fix DBs quite well

I think we will do the following: take a snapshot from their machine. Import it into one of our development machines. Re-export the snapshot. Meanwhile, uninstall and reinstall Actinic on the client's machine, then reinstall the snapshot. Fingers crossed!
