    Crash On Exit

    Hi all,

For a little while now, actinic has been seizing up when i exit it.

As soon as i press the cross, the whole program becomes 'unclickable' and i have to kill the process to fully close it.

Any ideas on a cause or fix?
    thanks

      V: 8.5.3.0.0.0 IDHB
I had the same problem on 8.5.1 and was hoping the upgrade last week would help.
      What was your solution please?

I uninstalled, deleted everything and flushed out my reg.

Then installed the FULL version (as opposed to the upgrade patch).

Did you patch over the top or clean install?

I've not used a patch for approx 5 years, just try installing 8.5.3 from the full version on top of your patched version, this may be a quick fix.

But in future do not use patches, for a few seconds they save on download times, they cause more wasted time through random silly irritations all over the place

Indeed - installing the full version over the top is usually sufficient - no need to uninstall the previous nowadays.

                I, there's the rub...

patches, smatches, that is what I say!

As Jo states, follow the above and all should be fine.

I'm sure it was stated in the forum they'd be removed about 6 months ago, that was after 12 months of campaigning to get rid of them. I think their website is on the back burner at the moment, understandably so I guess.

Because the website is a bit of a mess as we all know and will probably take quite some time to correct. Currently, that resource is probably better allocated to fixing V9 and EPOS i guess. Website maintenance at bottom of list in other words.

You want the free 30 day trial download and then just license it with your license key.
