    Actinic Version Question

I appear to have Actinic v8.5.2 HMVA on my machine which, on looking at the Actinic download site, is a US version. The latest version is 8.5.3 IDHB but there is no update patch and this version appears to be under Beta test. Should I upgrade to 8.5.3 IDHB and do I do this by just downloading the full version from the Actinic site which will overwrite my current version?

If you are running a US site then you should only use the US versions. Do not use beta software on a running site.

When upgrading you can just install the later version over the earlier one - but always make sure you have good backups first.

Though v8.5.2 HMVA is a UK version, check http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/versions.htm

Thanks guys - it seems that 8.5.2 HMVA is a UK version after all and I'm OK as I'm running a UK site. If I now download 8.5.3 IDHB from the Actinic download page to update my current version, will it merely overwrite the program and leave my products intact?

Yes install it on top of the existing installation and it will automatically upgrade your site when you open Actinic. Backup first though.

And remember to change your OCC template file before you upload (if using a PSP of course)
