New Product on Home page

I like having the new products on the home page - the format they are displayed are ideal - however, I am looking for a way to display new lines from several different catagories i.e card making , art materials - any ideas - bit new to this

Under the marketing menu you can manually lock the products you want to display.

thanks but this is to show two or three lots of new products but from different ctatagories of the store

The new arrivals can hold a maximum of 20 products. If you need more or to provide extra flexibility you need to look at hard-coding the links in to a new layout.
