Access rights to Actinic v9 programsfolder problem

Hi - I have loaded up Actinic v9 to a pc running vista 64 (sp1).

I have created a custom php function file which I need to save to the folder c:\program files (x86)\Actinic v9 - but I get an error message telling me that I do not have permission to save in this location.

I have checked the properties for the Actinic v9 folder and it tells me that as Creator/owner I have special permissions.

    Help!
    Regards
    David

You could try switching off the UAC (User Account Control) but that may introduce other problems.

Is it possible to store the file in the Site Folder? If so just choose the option to to locate the Site Folder under My Documents when you install Actinic.

Trying to save files to program files is a problem with the Vista security.

Hi Eric - I wanted to include it in the Actinic PHP functions - see knowledge base http://kb.actinic.com/activekb/questions/1057/Can+I+create+PHP+functions%3F

        Hi David,

Try saving your new php file in the My Documents area then copy it to the Actinic folder in Program Files, manually drag/drop. I have just tried this, Vista asked me to confirm twice and the file is there ok.

        Cheers
        Eric
