Setting up External Links to Websites

I am trying to set up a section on my website so that other websites can advertise their websites free of charge.
They will have a header text, description and Site Logo or banner.
To do this I have set up a new section in the Catalogue part of the site, and added the advert in as a product.

Firstly, is there a better way of doing this? or as i have it now, how can i put in a link from a text word or by the picture to an external website address.
I.e. www.onestop-direct.com of which would be the advertisers website.

I have tried to also use the extended information tab too but I still can’t get it to link to the external website.
You can see how I have set it up here>

This is the link below on my website
    http://www.onestopfoodsuk.com/acatal...vertising.html

Has anyone done this before? Any help would be most grateful.

Is this the type of thing you are looking for http://www.the-old-smokehouse.co.uk/...d-websites.htm - if so follow the link at the bottom of the page to get a trial of the software to do it.

I have just joined a company to do the linking to my website for me so not looking for a program to do that.

I just need to know how i can get the text or picture in actinic to link to a external Website address. It currently will only take me to html pages within my own site.

When i click on the highlighted link in that advert, i want it to take me to that link IE> http://www.onestop-direct.com

It currently just opens a pop up window with some text.
Try the link below to see what i mean..

In the fragment text or product description use:

        Code:
        !!<<a href="http://www.onestop-direct.com" target="_blank">One Stop Direct</a>>!!

or use the external link tab. What you want to do can be done in actinic but your are heading for dissapointment as you are trying to use actinic as a link marketing tool.

I'm sure that your link marketing company has told you that thenumberof links on a page need to be limited and arranged in separate related pages. Also that every link needs to be checked monthly to ensure others are still linking to you. In short actinic can be used to create links but not manage them which is the hardest part
