    Adding PayPal caused General Script Error

    Hi

    I've been using Actinic since November last year, my payment solution is provided by Worldpay.

    It has all worked perfectly for me since day one.

    Because of customer demand I added PayPal (not pro) to my site.

    Seemed to work fine & started getting PayPal paid orders through.

    Then I started to get complaints mainly that customer could not add items to the basket or the site just crashed. Once crashed the only way they could get it to work again was to delete there browser cache.

    The page would display the following error message;

    A General Script Error Occurred

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Keep getting the below message when adding new products to the basket:

    Error: ../httpdocs/acatalog/195Z188Z219Z3A1215085471B25360.session can not be locked during Session init!
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Press the Browser back button and try again or contact the site owner

    It would appear that this only affected some customer but not all. It even happened to me a few time when testing.

    Out of frustation I removed the PayPal option and all as returned to normal.

    Customers who couldn't use the site, were again able to place order?

    Why would adding another payment option cause this problem? Its a real shame as it would appear that many customer like to use Paypal - would I be better off using PayPal Pro? My web designer thinks not.

    Any ideas?

    What is the version of Actinic? If you are on 8.5.2 and above it should be fine, else try http://community.actinic.com/showpos...6&postcount=12
