    Unseen Costing Base

    Hi All

I have searched the site in vein for an answer to this one, so can anyone help?

My problem is to set up a store which is used by customers for incentives and rewards and as such pricing must be as follows:

    1. Base price, not displayed but used to work out the SSP and the Customers Discount Price.
    2. The SSP (a % plus of the Base Price) displayed inc vat
    3. The customer discount price (a %plus of the base price) displayed inc vat.

    Any ideas gratefully accepted

    Hi,

I haven't been able to find a way of doing this. You can create either the SSP or the discount price from the 'base' price by using the 'Customer Pricing' tab of the 'Discounts & Surcharges settings' window but you can't have two discounts based on the 'base' price. If you create a 'cart content' discount it bases it on the 'customer's price' and you can't actually display the discount price against the product as it is worked out in the cart.

      Hi Tracy

Thanks for the reply. Do you think it could be done in PHP.

I'm no PHP expert but I don't think so. As you will be wanting the discounts to be passed to the checkout it would have to be done in the perl scripts and I think it would be quite complicated to do.
