Product search from Image

WE are aiming to provide a fragment on the home page showing common brandnames in image form - where we hope uses can click on the image to reveal all items irrespectitve of their sections provided by the supplier

The methodolgy of actinic design is just taking a little getting use to any help is appreciated.

Hi,

If you run the search on your site and then take the address from the results page you can hard-code this into the fragment text so it would look something like:

!!<<a href="http://www.domain.co.uk/cgi-bin/ss000001.pl?page=search&PR=-1&TB=A&SS=brand"><img src="brandimagename.gif"></a>>!!

To ensure that the image uploads to your site add it into the 'Design | Additional Files' list

For SEO and those with images disabled don't forget the ALT= attribute for the image eg:

<img src="brandimagename.gif" alt="Brand Name" />
