One our customers was today emailed and called by someone pretending to be 'Chris Dicken' (i.e. me) and were asked to install a file on their servers. That person wasn't me, and the file they sent did not originate from Actinic.
We are currently investigating what happened, and what the content of the file is.

I received a telephone call from someone claiming to be Chris Dicken from Actinic Support stating he was contacting all customers regarding installing a patch for the new key validation server for version 10 of actinic which was due to be released win the next few months. He insisted if we did not install the patch we would have a problem with key validation. He asked for my email address to send the patch, which arrives from support@actinic.co.uk and was signed Chris Dicken.
