    The coupon code (xxx) was not recognised

    Just trying to set-up a simple 15% discount with Coupon Code VTYUL15

    A simple set-up of 15% Discount with a cart value trigger of 0.01 with the Coupon Code entry within the Checkout process.

    Any ideas?

    Try it all in lowercase or try and use numbers for codes as no confusion then.

      I have just tried it using eight numbers and still got the same;
      The coupon code (45871423) was not recognised, please check and re-enter.

      Any ideas?

        Little i can offer in that case Pete, i'd do the standard housekeeping and a web-refresh just to confirm, if that doesn't work then i'm stumped, presuming of course that you set the discount up correctly. Maybe worth deleting it, create it from scratch and try that also, but all of these options are clutching at not very long straws from this corner.

          As lee said - the usual bits.

          also if it is not being recognised it would sound as though you might have a space in it or it was not uploaded, try it with a single digit then change it after

            I've worked through the usual;

            Deleted all existing discounts
            Compacted Database
            Web Refresh
            Set Up a new discount code
            Uploaded and still problem persists

            Screen shots of my discount set-up attached.

            Have a missed something silly?

            All other sites and their discounts working fine on identical version.

            Maybe a support question now........

              it would sound like it to me, one other thing to try, change the perl id number.

                Thanks for the ideas Darren & Lee.

                Changing the perl id - I think i'd better speak to Jont before I go meddling any deeper than I should

                  I don't think anything is hard coded on the site with the perl ID scripts Peter so you could change if you really needed (everything is dynamic from memory)

                  Did you try a full purge and refresh of the website rather than a refresh?

                    as I was faced with three tick boxes and didnt know what to do?

                      I would leave unticked the "perl files" as this will remove any mods in there.

                      Tick to delete the "cat & fil" and tick "exclude unchanged images"

                        I assume you have the product groups set up correctly to which the discount is pointing?

                            Oh yeah.. it is cart level not a group discount

                            Did the purge resolve?
