BUG: Using # in Product References

Although the inbuilt help does not say that the use of # is excluded, when you use this character in a product reference, the marketing lists will not link to that product and they report an error. I expect this is due to a confusion on page anchors. Either workout a way that they can be used or add them into the ban list on characters and stop them being used. Another 2 hours down the drain.

I posted this as a V8 bug in November 2006!

    I put a workaround on http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=25881 in post #7.

Cheers for the info Norman, appreciate it. I guess as you provided a fix for them, they left it.

I wouldn't mind so much if they had no exclusion list, but when you click on the ? and click on the field, it actually tells you what you cannot use, so someone actually went to the trouble to try and help. Yet more proof that a forum setup solely for bug reports is an absolute necessity and quick! It cannot take long to add the # into an exclusion list, much less than the 2 hours it took me to fathom it out, especially when the # key is such an integral character in html.
