Uploading for the first time

Hello, I have downloaded the free version of actinic to see if it is user friendly for a novice.. I am managing to use the software ok and having created a shop in a very basic fashion decided to try and publish to the web. I get through it until I come to a point where it asks me for the path to the web root directory. whatever i put in there it come up with "the cgi script can not navigate from the cgi-bing directory to the web root directory. Check the path?

Now as a total noivice this means nothing to me?

Can anyone help??

What host are trying to upload to and what package are you using with the host?

i have an exsisting site which I was intending to use? do you mean who has the tag?

Please we need to know who you are hosting with, is it unix/linux or windows.

People will help but there are some important thing to do, read the threads for new people, it gives you guide lines on what to post, find the right section http://community.actinic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9 this one would have been better
