Stop upload of images from hidden sections

    Hi
Is it possible to stop Actinic uploading images from hidden sections?

While testing I've hidden sections to speed upload, but the images are still being uploaded, which can take hours during a refresh.

If I temporarily delete the sections I loose all the associated data in my components (that have taken weeks to do).

Stoping the upload of unnecessary images in hidden sections seems sensible to me!

    Help please?
    Thanks in advance

When you refresh it gives you the option to exclude images. If you are just updating and the image is already uploaded, it should not get loaded again. That should do the trick.

Actinic will often go into a full refresh, without asking. Its on these occassions, that the images in hidden sections get uploaded yet again.

If I notice its going into a full upload all on its own. I stop the upload. Then do a full refresh myself. Its only by doing it this way, that the option to exclude all images uploading again is available.

Could the image upload option be made available, whenever Actinic decides to go into a full refresh on its own?

I've never had a refresh instigated by pressing for an upload, i'd suggest that either you are uploading from different machines each time or that there is something fundamentally wrong with your site. Do you have the marketing lists on each page updating on each upload by any chance?

I've noticed this in test mode - do an upload and absolutely everything is sent again!!

I've seen it on test mode, but only when i've switched out of test mode and then gone back in as that wipes the server. Having said that V9 should be called Herby 9 as it seems to do what it wants at the moment.
