Locked out of slave computer V9.0.1 MU

We have three slaves and one master using V9.0.1 Multi User

We have a problem with one site database, that can only be accesed by Master PC

One of the three slaves is locked in trying to open a the site which has a problem, the other two work OK andalthough they will not start or move to the effected site, they will reboot back to their original site and happily move between the rest of the sites

Support are looking at the acd of the faulty site

My problem is that I really need to get the third slave back online using the other sites

Have tried going to

Run:\Program Files|Actinic V9|Catalogue.exe" /s site 1

And

Run:\Program Files|Actinic V9|Catalogue.exe"-s"site 1

does not work I assume as the site one folder is in the shared files folder on the master PC

No joy on that just comes up with cannot find c:\program

I think the trouble is it has to go via the network to get to the database on the main computer

I think the Catalog.exe is on the slave and it just calls the data from the networked Main PC, so Tracey is right till the end of exe and then it needs somehow to point to the main computer site1

It might be stating the obvious but have you rebooted the master / server?

Also do you have Access and if so have you run a tidy on the affected db?

As long as they are pointing to the correct sites folder then it should work ok . What does that pc have in the registry for:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Actinic\Catalog9\Sites\SitesFolder

Database was corrected by repair in acces 2000

So there is no 'SitesFolder' key?

On the slave under Sites there is a sitefolder with Regf_sz then

\\dell\sharedDocs\actinic v9\sites

Is the upper and lower case here as it is set in the registry or did you just type it here, as that would make a difference?

You could also try mapping a drive to the Sites folder and then entering that into the 'SitesFolder' registry key and see if that helps.

Problem solved by support, looks like a computer crash on a slave had buggered up permissions on the catalog database
