at every level my site is set to vat exclusive but new products on my home page show the price vat inclusive.
would be grateful if anyone knew how to resolve this.
contacted tech support but they just told me to do what i told them i had already done.

1 question, are you trade only? if not you might find a call from trading standards at some time. You must show inclusive prices when selling to public. It will be someone reporting you they dont go actively looking.

you will need to change the layout look for <actinic:variable value="Marketing Price List" name="PriceListRetail" />

this layout is probably using <actinic:variable value="Compact Tax Inclusive Price" name="PriceLayout" /> or standard tax inclusive something similar.

you will need to change these to the excluding tax variable, best off copying the layouts then cusomising them for your own needs

use the design tab, and click on the area you want to look at, here you will find the layouts for what your seeing, you can drill down in to the layouts and change the variables.

remember take a snapshot before you start messing then if it all go's wrong you can go back to it.

im at the correct part in the design tab but when i change the variable to tax exclusive i get code errors and this text inside the box where the price was
'parse error: parse error in main on line 1'

            OK

click on the pink marketing price list it will drill down a level and open another layout, this layout will probably have and orange bit at the top saying click here to.....

underneath another pink bit saying .......tax inclusive prices, click at the end of this and press enter to start a new line

ok now click on the pink swirl thing with the plus sign a box will pop up, in the box that opens find the pricelayout, select that then tick the box that says fixed layouts, from the list underneath select the price layout excluding tax.

this will insert it, you can delete the other one, or leave it in and click apply if your happy with the new selector then delete the original pink variable

            hope this helps

Click on the specific text in the design tab, you can see the text being added in the layout then. Adjust accordingly.

This is probably in the standard tax excluding layout, not got a copy to hand at the mo, it will be in normal text in the layout

click on the text in the design window and it should appear in the code view below probably says "Excluding" surround by a few blocks
