Auto Add To Cart From Coupon Code?

Hi All,

I have set up a coupon code that will feature in a mag advert for a particular tool, basically add any Makita petrol tool to the basket, enter the coupon code GROW and a free barbecue is available, now as standard the free item is shown in the marketing box as a link, I changed this from the AUG so that it is a link that adds the item to the cart when clicked, however it would be even better if the customer just entered the coupon code and the item was automatically added to the cart - is this possible?

We've been trying to do an identical type of offer, but as far as I can tell no this isn't possible.

It suddenly stopped working now too which is giving us a bit of a headache - am frantically trying to find out why!
