Do we have a tweak yet to allow...

...two different sites to be open at the same time in the same version of Catalog (M-U)?

Obviously it can be done with say, a v8 and a v9 instalation, but how about two sites with the same version of Catalog?

Split the drive? But that'd not allow you to have them both open at the same time?

For reference, the extra-user bit does not need to be used on both.

    What say you?

You can run Actinic in a virtual machine (or virtual PC) - that's what I do to work on different versions.

I'll have a look into that.

Must be some people with more than one site that have two (or more) open at the same time though?

You cannot do it in any sane manner, give up.

Actinic uses a dsn name to connect to a database, and when you restart actinic, it reuses the dsn name. this means that only 1 shop can be open at any one time.

Salvation is at hand however, since Actinet uses the path to the raw database. Unhindered by the problems of system dsn.

You can have multiple tabs in your browser, each with a different set of shops in them, all on the same machine.

You'd have thought it would have been a logical track for Actinic to pursue...
