    Clean Code

    Hi,

I was just wondering if there is anyway to clean the code when published as it puts it all on one line which does not make it the neatest of code.

    Cheers,
    Adam

Turn off 'Compact html/cgi' in Design| Design Options. If you are worried about neatness though you will probably need to tidy up your code in Actinic, blockif's add in white space and the code is generally quite messy.

LOL ... I really shouldn't care as much but I go to bed and hear Actinic sniggering downstairs.

            Gar.

Adam - there was a recent thread about not compacting the code for SEO reasons .. the principle being if there is an error on the page and Google skips the line everything is skipped and not indexed. I have trialled uncompacted code on several sites and seen improvements (all things being equal)

I'm the same, I spent a worrying amount of time tidying code on our new site, I think I need a hobby!
                Cheers
