different prroduct references for choices

Hi,
This is probably easy but been racking my brains

I'm trying to set up a generic product listing listing with different choices.
Each choice must have a unique product reference number.

Is this possible?

Reason is I use actinic sage link and and each choice is set up in sage as a unique product so has to match the references.

You need to include a component in the product options, then you can create hidden products, one for each option and then link those to the options using the permutations tabs in the component dialog. There is a good example in the help.

In V9, these can be generated automatically for you when you set up the product.

Search the forum on 'hidden products', basically you create a product per choice and then hide it, but link to it on the master product. Method often used for correct stock control.
