Out Of Memory When Checking HTML Pages

I have been getting an out of memory error when i go to refresh the site at the stage where Checking HTML Pages is taking place.

I have 4gb of memory and running 8.5.3.

I have changed the design to include better navigation and not sure what to do , spent the last day or so trying with changes to the paging of memory, now reverted back to windows to manage size etc. I have also had the problem when making a snapshot "out of memory".

Anyone had a similar problem and found the light?

Ignore the changes to "windows Paging" - this is NOT where your problems lie - thats just windows crashing and giving up.

Its the way you are calling/using fragments and 99% certain its probably the navigation or something

you are almost cetainly calling fragments in a loop and then calling itself again and that in turn is calling itself again and so on, eventually you run out of memory.

track back to where you first call the navigation?? and comment that out, then try checking html.

If that works successfully, then you need to look a lot closer at the way you call and use the navigation.

you need to look carefully at your code, then comment out large chunks of functionality on a temporary basis until the problem goes away

We have finally found the answers to the problems with the navigation, upload for 9000 pages and approx 7000 products takes around 4 hours. Thats 20 hours less than it used too lol.

Navigation with the new tweaks (Norman) is blazing fast well on my macbook with safari just hoping that we can move back to V9 MU at some point, but now we have cleared the code from the site (Old V7 variables) and reworked the site (new layout redone and widened by Lee).

I'm not 100% sure how we fixed it but it took a lot of time and effort!

We have updated the site yesterday evening, on ie and firefox it looks ok now, are you still seing the flash on top of the navigation?

i suggest you download firefox yourself as it is necessary to cross check your site across all popular browsers

Browsershots has its uses but it will not show the nav going under the flash as it requires a hover over the nav for this to happen.
