Flat File Import & Slowness

I have just completed a flat file import with just product names, descriptions and prices.

The import worked quick enough, but now in my section tree, when I click on a product to update, it takes up to 5 minutes for a change to apply or for me to click onto the next product.

Any ideas ?

Yes, I read that earlier today, but I'm not having problems with slowness of upload. What is happening is when you go into your content tree and you click on a product - this is when its slow.

Closing the preview window will help.

I have already tried that and that doesn't help - I thought that might be the problem but it wasn't...

Compacting the database may also help if you haven''t already.
What size is your database?
How many products have you got in it?
