    Steamline.net Help Needed

    Hello,

I've been searching through the postings in the Actinic Community trying to find out how to upload an Actinic store on their servers but, after trying all the suggestions I could find I'm still not getting anywhere.

Can anyone fill me in the details?

    Cheers,

    Jon

This is a common theme with them, some people have managed to some just gave up.

By my reconning you have a week of support tickets to go.

    have a look here http://www.streamlinesupport.net/ind...age=show&id=22

As Darren says alot of people have tried and given up..

However you could post your network settings just in case there's a typo in them

After some more playing around I've now got this error message:

"The web server is having a problem running the Actinic perl scripts. You can try running the 'Web Site Configuration Wizard' at 'Web | Configure Web Site Details...' to check your settings are OK. This problem can also sometimes be caused when the domain name for your site doesn't point to the correct web server."

        And then:

"The web server returned error code 405 - Server does not support the requested method. Your web server is not configured to accept POSTs to CGI scripts. Contact your ISP or system administrator and have them reconfigure the server."

If I try the Wizard I get an error saying that I'm using the wrong perl extension, but Streamline have confirmed that I'm using the correct one. Does this look familiar to any other streamline.net users?

        Thanks,

        Jon

Change the script id under your network settings to from pl to cgi or cgi to pl

personally Jon i would Give Up as streamline.net will have you running around for a week

            Tried that, same result.

            Can you recommend another host?

I need PHP/MySQL support so Actinic Hosting is out of the question (which is a shame because I've now got to move a site away from them).

            Thanks,

            Jon

there are plenty of hosts here. You could take a look at some of the signatures already in this thread for a start.

I'm actually looking for a reseller package, because I've got at least 5 online shops to produce in the next few months.

Do you really want a reseller package or do you want a package to host multiple sites?

Good question. Multiple domain hosting will do in the short term.

Jonathan we are not trying to be difficult but it is against forum rules to openly promote businesses
